"Hugs to You" Wild Rose Studio Card

This super cute card featuring Milton the bear is a great way to put a smile on anyone's face.

Materials

Wild Rose Studio Milton with Teddy stamp
Wild Rose Studio papers - Milton, Candy Floss and Polka Dot sets
ProMarker Skin Tones set (Satin, Dusky Pink, Cinnamon colours)
ProMarker Skin Accents set (Blossom)
Brown and white pens
Brown, white and pink card
Small round gold brads
15mm organza ribbon in a colour of your choice
Iridescent Candy Floss glitter
VersaFine Onyx Black ink cube
Small sticky pads
General all-purpose glue

Instructions

1. Firstly, stamp Milton with Teddy onto some white card, and cut a rectangle around him measuring approximately 10.5cm x 7cm. Next you need to colour him in with ProMarkers. Start by using the Satin pen from your Skin Tones set as a base colour all over the bear.

Then use your Dusky Pink and Cinnamon pens to go around Milton's outline, just inside the stamped lines. Use the Satin pen on top of the shaded areas, to blend the colours together. Then stick Milton onto a slightly larger pink card base, and put him to one side.

2. Next cut and fold a sheet of white card to make a square card blank measuring approximately 15cm x 15cm. Cut some brown card to make a square roughly 3mm smaller than the front of your card on all sides, then cut some patterned paper from the Milton stack so it is roughly 3mm smaller than the brown card. Stick the square of patterned paper onto your brown card.

3. Cut some smaller squares from patterned paper, layer onto brown card as before and attach as shown in the main picture. Draw faux stitching around the outsides of the patterned papers using your brown and white pens. Wrap with ribbon, then stick to your white card blank.

4. Add three gold brads in the top corner. Take your Milton bear panel, draw brown stitching around the edge of the white card, and attach with sticky pads. Add a ribbon bow, a sprinkle of glitter on Milton's tummy and ears, and a message of your choice supported by more sticky pads to finish. And there he is!
