"Birthday Wishes" Wild Rose Studio Card

This gorgeous pink birthday card using the 'Cat with Message' stamp from Wild Rose Studio is great for cat lovers - or anyone who likes cute cards!

Materials

• Wild Rose Studio Cat with Message stamp
• Greetings stamp of your choice
• Wild Rose Studio Polka Dots papers
• ProMarker 12 set (Rose Pink)
• ProMarker Greys set
• ProMarker Skin Accents set (Blossom)
• 25mm organza ribbon in a colour of your choice
• Iridescent Candy Floss glitter
• Pink, grey and white sheets of card
• VersaFine Onyx Black ink cube
• Small sticky pads
• Adhesive pearls
• General all-purpose glue

Instructions

1. Firstly, stamp Cat with Message onto white card and cut a rectangle around the image measuring approximately 10cm x 8.5cm. Next, colour in the cat using ProMarkers. To do this, take your Greys set, and use Cool Grey 1 as a base layer all over the cat.

Add shading using Cool Grey 3 or 4 around the edge. Use Cool Grey 1 over the top, to blend the shading together. Next, colour the ears, nose and heart with Blossom and Rose Pink from your 12 set of ProMarkers.

2. Draw some dashes around the edge of the panel with the Blossom pen. Layer this white card panel onto a slightly larger rectangle of pink card, then layer this onto a slightly larger rectangle of white card.

3. Cut and fold some white card to make an A6 card blank measuring approximately 15cm x 11.5cm, then attach a piece of polka dot paper approximately 3mm smaller than the front of the card on all sides. Add a 1.5cm wide strip of grey card and a stamped greeting as shown.

4. Place the card blank lengthways with the fold at the top. Attach the cat image panel using sticky pads, overlapping the edge, as shown. Add pearls on each corner of the polka dot paper, a sprinkle of glitter on the cat's tummy and tail, and a ribbon bow to finish. Purrfect!
