The FingerGuard 12" Paper Trimmer is safe, versatile and easy to use. With a 31cm long cutting surface (approx 12 1/4"), the trimmer is large enough to cut A4 and 12" long card and paper, and a handy pull-out ruler makes it wide enough to cut 12" x 12" paper too.

The lightweight trimmer is also perfect for cutting and cropping smaller items.

Its patented safety system means the blade is fully concealed, so there's no need to worry about any sharp edges while changing blades or feeding paper in.

The trimmer includes two blades to get you started, one straight blade and one Victorian blade (ideal for creating more detailed edges). We also stock an additional pack of 8 blades to use with the trimmer, each creating a different edge, so your project options are virtually limitless.

Operating instructions appear on the packaging, but using the trimmer couldn't be easier. Just choose your blade and insert it into the blade cassette. Lift up the tracking bar and line your paper up using the grid on the trimming surface. When you're ready, press down the blade and trim!

PLEASE NOTE: This is not a medical instrument. It is a product designed for crafters. So the "straightness" of the cut can sometimes vary as much as 1 mm per 30 cm. This is not visible to the human eye but please keep this in mind before you order.

A great 12" trimmer. Blades are very easy to change safely (no worries about getting little fingers trapped). Paper easy to insert on delicate / rasied work as the ruler lifts up (i.e. you don't slide your item under). Being able to get replacement straight cutters is a great advantage for heavy users. Would definately recomment this.

Smooth finish to paper edge, (no rough edges.) You can lift the guard, so cutting can be done in centre of the page. Only problem is when cutting you don't always get a straight edge, to overcome this problem press firmly and evenly on the cutting blade.

Put this on my wish list for xmas and I am so pleased I got it. I was fed up with the blades and cutting mats on previous trimmers wearing out and not being able to replace them. Have only used a couple of times and it is excellent, I also got the set of extra blades and they are fantastic. The perforating blade is brilliant, thinking invites with tear off reply!! Really pleased.

The FingerGuard cuts clean but not straight. Tried two, but same result so had to return them both. Handy Hippo refunded without any problem. - Note from Handy Hippo: We tested this returned item. It was out by maybe 1 mm over 30 cm. So not medical instrument precision, but still not visible to the human eye.

I would definitely recommend this product to a friend. I have used one for almost a year now and ordered 3 for members of my card making class and will be ordering a few more in the new year.
