You've created a lovely handmade card, now it's time to add a written message and address the envelope to the recipient in something other than a ball-point pen. What's the go-to? Sakura Gel Pens are, for adding eye-catching greetings and other hand written information.
No need to limit yourself to using these pens just for hand writing, because they are also perfect for outlining designs and images, or adding shimmering details to your paper crafts.
Our range of Gel Pens is manufactured by a leader in the pen industry, Sakura. In business since 1921, Sakura began in Osaka, Japan as a crayon company. Among Sakura's many patented inventions, their very first was in 1924 by combining crayon and pastel and naming it Cray-Pas, which is still made and a top seller today.
In 1984, Sakura surprised the pen industry with its invention of the first gel-based ink. However, this new product had not yet met with Sakura's high quality and performance standards and several years were spent testing and redeveloping until the perfect gel ink was created. The success of this new development was acknowledged by Japan's patent office and Sakura was presented with the Inventors Award in 2000.
This line of pens is most commonly known as the "Gelly Roll," which includes six types of inks in a variety of colours and special effects, including this range of Sakura Gel Pens.
