Fiskars has been supplying cutting tools for home and commercial use around the world for over 360 years.
Do you know how the orange handle came to be? In 1967, the prototypes for Fiskars' first basic scissors models went into production. Originally planned to be black, red or green, the machinist decided to finish off the orange color he had in his machine, producing four colors of which black and orange were the most popular. A choice had to be made resulting in the birth of the Fiskars orange-handled scissors.
Synonymous with the orange handles scissors, Fiskars also brings the one of our best selling craft tools, the Fiskars ShapeCutter to accurately cut different shapes by freehand or with use of a ShapeTemplate.
Able to multiple materials, including:
- Paper up to 210gsm
- Thin metal sheet
- Polyphane (middle thickness)
- Plastic sheets
For best result when cutting fabric, first use a temporary glue to adhere a paper sheet to fabric back and cut to the paper side.
We also offer a selection of ShapeTemplates to be used with the Fiskars ShapeCutter. These clear orange templates make alignment and cropping easy and precise. What's more, the outside edge of each template can be used to create different torn edge designs.
The ShapeCutter and ShapeTemplates create fun and unique details for card making, scrapbook pages and home decor projects.
